Our Electric bikes

For many years we could not find any electric bike in Australia suitable for our tours. In most cases the battery capacity was far too small, meaning our guests may have run out of juice before reaching their destination. Luckely the Leon cycle is now offering their products not just in Europe but also in Australia. Their battery capacity is astonishing 768 Wh, more then twice as the one of the typical E-bike sold in Australia.
Being cyclists by ourselves we know how important a trouble free bike is. To ensure this all our bikes are fitted with puncture proof tyres and are serviced intensively by an experienced technician before each rental even when they were out for just a few days. For your peace of mind our bikes are covered by "RACT roadside assist". That means if you have a serious problem, cannot fix it and we can not come you can call the Tasmanian automobilclub and they will help you for free.
Each rental comes with a taste neutral waterbottle for each cage, a comprehensive toolbox incl. spare tube, a good pump and one lock for every 2 bikes.
Helmets are available on request free of charge (wearing a helmet is compulsary).
Despite all these benefits our prices are very low in comparison, in particular if you take into account our prices do include the expensive delivery and pick up if you have booked a tour with us.
Our price promise: if you send us proof that you could hire an electric bike anywhere in Australia with similar or better specs, with the same or higher battery capacity for the same or lower price we will weave the rental fee for your E-bike!
Please note: Our E-bikes are NOT suitable for off-road treks or rough gravel roads and must NEVER exposed to seaspray.

The E-bikes we are using are NCM Venice plus (gents) and NCM Milano plus (ladies). They are equipped with a modern 48 Volt system, a rear hub drive with a high torque of 55 Nm, puncture proof tyres, hydraulic disc brakes, adjustable handlebar, suspension fork and seatpost. Their 8 gear system is easy to handle. Weight: around 30 kg.
