Our Electric bikes
For many years the batteries of electric bike for sale in Australia were too small for our tours. When the NCM bikes from the German brand Leon Cycle were offered in Australia, we immediatly bought a few. The battery can hold astonishing 768 Wh. NCM is nowadays one of the leading brands in Australia.
The model we have chosen is easy to handle with just one gear lever. However, it does not have a mid motor with torque sensor like most high-end E-bike. Instead, it has a hub motor with motion sensor with is different to handle and needs some time to get use to. We will explain it in detail during bike delivery.
Please be aware, we only offer our E-Bikes for our Eastcoast and Northeast tours. Customers of our Westcoast tour are just too far away in case something fails.
All our bikes are fitted with puncture proof tyres and are serviced by an experienced technician before each rental.
Each rental comes with a comprehensive toolbox incl. a spare tube, a good pump and one lock for every 2 bikes.
Helmets are available on request free of charge (wearing a helmet is compulsory).
Despite all these benefits our prices are very low in comparison, in particular if you take into account our prices do include the expensive delivery and pick up if you have booked a tour with us.
Please note: Our E-bikes are NOT suitable for off-road treks or rough gravel roads and must NEVER be exposed to sea spray.
Maximum load (rider plus luggage) is strictly 125kg. Any damage caused by overweight is not covered by our free repair service.
Our E-bikes are NCM Venice plus (gents) and NCM Milano plus (ladies). They are equipped with a modern 48 Volt system, a rear hub drive with a high torque of 55 Nm, puncture proof tyres, hydraulic disc brakes, adjustable handlebar, suspension fork and seat post. Weight is around 30 kg.
